First Panel Speaking

I just had my first Panel Speaking event on Tuesday, and it was successful, exciting, as well as fun! Ever since young, I would always admire the people who are speakers at events, thinking that they are wise and it is such an honor to speak in front of everyone, sharing your ideas and thoughts.

As I have mentioned before, I was elected as one of the middle school co-president, and during this year’s Middle School Preview (which was an admission event) I was chosen to help with the Panel Speaking part at the end.

I was given some questions to prepare. The teacher had said that we only had to read it over. However, I knew that my performance would represent how my school looked to others, and so I wrote down bullet points to every question, determined to make my answers best as possible.

When speaking, I connected the book Little Women with the girl school experience, causing many people to nod in agreement. I also wove a few jokes into my replies, making my answer sound more humorous and light hearted, causing people to laugh.

All in all, I really enjoyed this event and hope to do it again later this year.
